I’m Allergic to Garlic. Which Crafty Cook Products Can I Buy?

If you’re allergic or sensitive to garlic, finding convenient foods that are suitable for you can sometimes be a challenge. So, which Crafty Cook products can you enjoy without worrying about garlic?

At the time of writing, our Coconut Curried Lentil Soup Mix, and Cock-a-Leekie Soup Mix do not contain any garlic in their ingredients and can be enjoyed as they are.

However, one of the advantages of being a small business, and handcraft every product ourselves, we can often adapt recipes to meet individual customer requirements and therefore much more flexible than larger manufacturers. So, as we add garlic to many of our products, we can also leave it out.

If you’d like to order one of our other soup, stew or risotto mixes without garlic, simply add a note in the comments box when placing your order through our website. Wherever possible, we’ll make a product up, especially for you, without garlic.
There are only 2 products that we are unable to take the garlic out of, due to it being in the peanut free satay mix, so the Thai Coconut Soup Mix, and Spicy Chicken Satay Risotto Mix are off limits I’m afraid as these 2 products rely on the satay mix for their flavour.
There are also 3 products with lamb stock, which has garlic in it, however the stock powder is packed in a separate sachet, and you can substitute it for your own version of stock powder should you wish. (They are Scotch Broth, Cawl and Moroccan Spiced Lamb Stew)

Because garlic contributes to the flavour profile of many recipes, the taste may be slightly different from the original version, but we’ll do our best to ensure it’s still delicious.

While we take great care during production and cleaning procedures, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of trace amounts of garlic. If you have a severe allergy, we recommend contacting us before ordering so that we can discuss your individual requirements.
