How Do We Calculate The Nutritional Values For Crafty Cook Products?
Customers often ask how we know, and calculate, the nutritional information shown on our Crafty Cook labels.
The answer is simple: we don’t guess.
Every Crafty Cook recipe is carefully formulated using specific quantities of ingredients. Those ingredients are entered into our nutritional analysis system, which calculates values such as calories, fat, saturated fat, carbohydrates, sugars, fibre, protein and salt. This allows us to provide accurate nutritional information for every product we make.
But nutritional analysis is only one part of the process.
Unlike many mass-produced foods, our products are handcrafted by our team here in the UK. Every 2 or 4 serving tube or 12 serving catering pack is filled by hand, following carefully documented recipes and procedures to ensure consistency from batch to batch.
This means the product you buy today should be the same product you enjoyed last year and the year before. We rarely change our recipes unless there is a genuine reason to do so, such as ingredient availability, recipe improvements or changes in food legislation. When changes are necessary, we review and update the nutritional information and product labels accordingly. To help our customers make informed choices, any significant recipe changes will be clearly highlighted on the packaging for a period of time. We always recommend checking the ingredients, allergen information and nutritional values to ensure the product continues to meet your individual needs.
